Privacy Policy
Effective September 26, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect the information you provide to us through our website. By using our website, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information
We collect the following information:
- Email Addresses: We collect email addresses for communication and updates related to our services.
- Blockchain Addresses: We collect blockchain addresses for transactional and membership purposes within our platform.
2.2 Analytics
We use analytics services to understand how people use Watrfall and where they have trouble. They record the pages you visit, how you interact with our pages, errors that happen on the page, and basic browser and device details, such as browser type and screen size. We do not store your IP address in our analytics.
If you are not signed in, this information is linked only to a random identifier stored in your browser. It is not linked to your name, email address or account.
If you sign in, we link this information to a pseudonymous account ID. This is a random code, not your name or email address. It lets us see how creators move through applying, onboarding and submitting projects over time. We also record whether the account is a creator or an administrator. We do not send your name, email address, wallet address, or the content of your projects or files to our analytics services. When you sign out, your browser gets a new random identifier.
On creator studio pages, we record only page views and the steps you complete. We do not record what you type or the names of files you upload.
We keep analytics data for up to 24 months. After that, we delete it.
2.3 Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep the site running, including to keep you signed in and to remember your currency and language preferences.
We also use a marketing cookie to record which campaign brought you to the site. If you arrive from an advertisement or a campaign link, we store the campaign identifiers from that link (the standard utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content parameters, and the Google and Meta click identifiers) for 30 days. We do not store the page you came from, and this cookie contains no name, email address or account details.
The Google and Meta click identifiers are unique to a single advertisement click, so where you arrived from such an advertisement this cookie is an online identifier under data protection law, even though it holds none of your account information.
This cookie is shared with our other services on watrfall.com, including our streaming platform, so that a subscription can be credited to the campaign that introduced you to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing cookies in your browser.
Our analytics services store a random identifier in a cookie and in your browser's local storage. It lasts up to one year, and it is set for watrfall.com and its subdomains. It helps us count visits and understand how people use the site over time. You can remove it by clearing cookies and site data in your browser.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Communication: To send updates, newsletters, and other relevant information to your provided email address.
- Crypto Transactions: To facilitate and track transactions within our platform using the provided blockchain addresses.
- Analytics: To understand how people use our website and where they have trouble, including how creators move through applying, onboarding and submitting projects, so that we can improve our services.
4. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to safeguard your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or trade your information. We share it with service providers that help us run Watrfall, such as payment, error-monitoring and analytics services, and only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
6. Your Choices
You have the right to:
- Access and Update: Access and update your personal information provided to us.
- Opt-Out: Opt-out of receiving communications from us by following the instructions included in each email.
7. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the updated effective date.
